CERTIFICATIONS, AWARDS AND MEMBERSHIPS

R2: 2013 – R2 is the premier global environmental, worker health and safety standard for the electronics refurbishing and recycling industry. Over 500 facilities currently are R2 certified in 17 countries. As an R2:2013 certified electronics recycler since 2013, you can be assured that 3R Technology will manage your electronic materials in the most responsible, environmental friendly, safest, and sustainable manner.

ISO 14001:2004 specifies requirements for an environmental management system to enable an organization to develop and implement a policy and objectives which take into account legal requirements and other requirements to which the organization subscribes, and information about significant environmental aspects. It applies to those environmental aspects that the organization identifies as those which it can control and those which it can influence.

OHSAS 18001 - officially 'BS OHSAS 18001:2007') is an internationally-applied British Standard for occupational health and safety management systems. It exists to help all kinds of organizations put in place demonstrably sound occupational health and safety performance. It is a widely recognized and popular occupational health and safety management system.

King County Green/Sustainable Small Business of the Year Award 2016 – 3R Technology was recognized for this top award for its outstanding contributions to the environment, social causes, and local business community. There were almost 300 applicants for the award which was presented in 7 categories.

Microsoft Registered Refurbisher - As a Microsoft Registered Refurbisher since 2013, 3R Technology provide customers with a professionally refurbished computer that comes pre-installed with a legitimate Microsoft software license. A refurbished PC supplied by a Registered Refurbisher provides the benefits of genuine Microsoft software and helps to protect data security and reduce the environmental impact of e-waste.

Take it Back Network – 3R Technology has been a member of the Take It Back Network since its inception in 2003. The Take it Back Network is a partnership among government agencies, retailers, repair shops, charitable organizations and recyclers that provides consumers with options for recycling certain wastes – and their hazardous components – in a safe and cost effective manner. Network members are committed to providing environmentally sound recycling services. They agree to recycle the materials domestically or in developed nations.

WSRA Member – 3R Technology has been an active member of the WSRA since 2008. The Washington State Recycling Association is a nonprofit membership organization that has been dedicated to supporting waste reduction, reuse, recycling, and composting in Washington since 1976. Members come from all sectors of the industry — collection, processing, manufacturing, vendors, consulting, education and outreach, government, and nonprofits.

e-Cycle Washington – 3R Technology has been an actively registered collector in good standing with the e-Cycle Washington program since its inception in 2009. Through our involvement, we have diverted millions of pounds of computers, laptops, TVs, and monitors from the landfill generated by household consumers, non-profits, and small businesses in the Seattle area. Electronics recycling for approved entities is completely free of charge, and the costs are reimbursed by the CEP (Covered Electronic Product) manufacturers.

NAID Member – In 2017, 3R Technology has become a member of the National Association of Information Destruction, and is scheduled this spring for auditing to its AAA certified standard. The NAID AAA Certification Program is a voluntary program for NAID member companies providing information destruction services. Through the program, NAID AAA certified members are audited for mobile and/or plant-based operations in paper or printed media, micromedia, computer hard drive destruction, and/or computer hard drive sanitization.
