The Importance of e-Waste Recycling

Electronic equipment such as CRTS and computers contain hazardous materials such as lead, cadmium, and mercury. If simply discarded, these materials can enter the ecosystem and cause extensive environmental damage. By choosing to recycle your e-waste, you are not only complying with state and environmental laws, you are doing your part to help minimize damage to the earth from the presence of technology in our daily life.

At our 6500 sqft. facility in downtown Seattle, we provide cost-effective e-waste recycling services for both business and residential customers. We are a registered collector for the e-Cycle Washington program, and members of both the Take-It-Back Network of King County, and the Washington State Recycling Association. In addition, we are BAN pledge signers, guaranteeing that recycled material, such as circuit boards and wire, are processed domestically or in developed countries only.

Beginning January 1 2009, as an authorized collector for the e-Cycle Washington program, recycling will be free for all our residential customers and some of our business clients, but only for computers, laptops, TVs, and monitors.

Printers, scanners, fax machines, audiovisual equipment, and other material will typically be assessed a fee for recycling. For more information, and to see if you qualify for this new program, please go to our e-Cycle Washington information page.
