This partnership was created to encourage the proper reuse of electronics that still have years of life left, as an alternative to simply recycling them into raw materials.
The CHOOSE TO REUSE partnership provides an alternative to the e-Cycle Washington program for reusable or refurbishable laptops and computers. It is available for households, non-profits, school districts, small governments and for-profit organizations with fewer than 50 employees. We urge you to consider submitting your old computers and laptops to the CHOOSE TO RE-USE partnership in order for them to be considered for the best possible form of recycling: Reuse!
What is the best way to make equipment available for reuse to schools, nonprofits, and low-income people?
It works best for everyone involved if you give your equipment to a refurbishing operation rather than directly to a charity or school, especially if you are concerned about data on your hard drive or are not sure of the condition of your equipment. 3R Technology will ensure that equipment passed on to nonprofits and schools is refurbished and completely tested. E-Waste recycling of non-working computers, CRT monitors, printers is a large expense that most schools and non-profits are not equipped to manage. We can also help cut down on the amount of e-waste generated by using parts of non-usable computers to fix others. 3R Technology can also accept networking and office equipment such as routers, switches and servers for reuse.
