Free Hard Drive Shredding on Data Privacy Day
January 28, 2017, is internationally recognized Data Privacy Day. Make sure the data on your old hard drives and media doesn’t end up in the wrong hand by choosing secure data destruction.
In 2016, there were 454 data breaches with nearly 12.7 million records exposed – Source: 2016 Identity Theft Resource Center Data Breach Category Summary
To help emphasize data privacy here at 3R Technology, we will shred your old hard drives at our facility for free (limit of 10 per customer) on Data Privacy Day.
If you have more than 10 drives, let us know and we can schedule your time slot for destruction. We will provide a discounted rate of 20% off our normal rates for shredding the drives, including a certificate of destruction complete with a serialized log of the hard drives.
The event will be 9 AM to 4 PM on Friday, January 27th, and 11 AM to 4PM, Saturday, January 28th.
Data Privacy Day began in the United States and Canada in January 2008 as an extension of Data Protection Day in Europe. Data Protection Day commemorates the January 28, 1981, signing of Convention 108, the first legally binding international treaty dealing with privacy and data protection.
